Choosing store hangers: type, size and material

Choose store hangers by garment type, shoulder width, rail spacing and preferred colour.

Which hanger fits each garment?

Look first at width for tops, clips for trousers, and shoulder thickness for jackets and suits.

Eight JTECH models: width × height × thickness, tolerance ±0.2cm.

How do I choose the width?

Match the shoulder width: a hanger wider than the garment can stretch the shoulder line.

Measure the shoulders of several garments and compare similar-width models. Start by comparing our 43cm model for men’s tops and 40cm model for women’s tops.

Why does thickness matter?

Thin hangers fit more garments on a rail; thicker hangers support jacket shoulders.

A 1cm-thick model can save display space, while 6–8cm models support jackets and suits. Consider rail length and the number of garments you need to display together.

What is the difference between PP and HIPS?

A model may use PP or HIPS depending on colour; both are plastics commonly used for hangers.

JTECH’s black and white hangers mainly use PP, while brown and beige mainly use HIPS. In general, PP is flexible and impact-resistant, while HIPS is more rigid with a smooth surface. Share the colour and use conditions so we can advise on a suitable combination.
